ADRI-UP: an effective example of cooperative infrastructural investment fostering the East Med and Black Sea connections27th giugno 2018
The Adri-Up project, cofinanced by the European Union under the CEF – Transport Programme participated to the International Week of Transport and Logistics 2018 held from 20th to 23rd March at the Parc des Expositions, in Paris.
SITL is well recognized as one of the most important logistics fair in Europe, where market players meet up to present innovative ideas and projects to a targeted audience. In this relevant international scenario for logistic operators, a booth was reserved to the Adri-Up Project, where RAM Logistica Infrastrutture e Trasporti S.p.A., together with the other project partners, welcomed visitors illustrating them the main features of the project and its added value of creating synergies between the development of the Ten-T Core Network Corridors and the implementation of the EUSAIR strategy.
The Adri-Up Action aims at fostering maritime connections along the Adriatic-Ionian logistic corridor, through the development of Motorways of the Sea links between the ports of Igoumenitsa, Ancona and Trieste. The project supports the renovation of the multipurpose and intermodal Pier VI the Port of Trieste (Port system Authority of the Oriental Adriatic Sea) and the development of technical and environmental studies for the new Ro/Pax terminal in the Port of Ancona (Port System Authority of the Central Adriatic Sea). Furthermore it contributes to the improvement of freight transport facilities at the dry port of Fernetti and the construction of the Igoumenitsa Freight Village (IFV) along with its road connection to the Egnatia-Odos highway.
The synergies amongst the mentioned project activities will enhance freight and passenger traffics along the Adriatic-Ionian logistic corridor, contributing to a more efficient connection between the ports and the hinterland nodes along the TEN-T core network corridors.
The Adri-Up Project has been showed at the SITL - Solutions Logistiques (Paris, 20th - 23rd of March 2018) at the Parc des Exhibitions, Hall 6, Stand K-112
